Retreats
Once our ministry is fully operational, we will offer two different retreat options.
Personal Retreats
In the book "Invitation to Retreat" author Ruth Haley Barton says, "When we choose retreat, we make a generous investment in our friendship with Christ. We are not always generous with ourselves where God is concerned. Many of us have tried to incorporate regular times of solitude and silence into the rhythm of our ordinary lives, which may mean that we give God twenty minutes here and half an hour there. And there’s no question we are better for it! But we need more. Indeed, we long for more."
Like Ruth said retreating with God is something we need more of. A personal retreat can be done anywhere, a park, a chapel, or even your own home. We find it better to get away from all the noise and distractions and go to a solitary place. Whether it's your first time on a spiritual retreat or your 20th, it's our goal to provide you with resources to help guide your time with the Lord.
We recommend doing a 3-day 2-night retreat at the very least. The first night is an adjustment, having that second night helps to quiet your thoughts and be fully present with God. It's also a good practice to fast before your retreat and break that fast with dinner the first night.
A hot dinner will be provided every night. There will be options available for breakfast, lunch, and some snacks. You are welcome to go off-site and get your food if you would like. It's our goal to provide these for you to help with any worldly distractions and keep your time in solitude.
Can you do a personal retreat with your spouse? Absolutely! We encourage it. Marriages are stronger when God is at the center. Taking time with your spouse to retreat with your Lord and Savor is refreshing and life-giving to your marriage.

Group Retreats
Rest and Healing Ministries would love to host your group for a retreat. We will meet your physical needs by providing meals and a comfortable place to lay your head, while God will feed and nourish your group's soul.
Groups will need to bring their teacher / facilitator. We have contacts for a Spiritual Direction coach if that's something you need. We can also work with the Spiritual Director to provide resources for your group.
